In the rp it self? Yes. They can be used any way you like, to progress the story and so on.

well i ment just like making characters in the character creation thread to be used in the RP's as hard to fight NPC's call em bosses if you want lol.

If they aren't going to be used as a primary character and just killed off at some point, no need to make a char bio for them in the character thread.
